Hi, I’m Britney—founder of The Sweetest Suckle.
The Sweetest Suckle was born from my personal journey as a mother, a caregiver, and a Black woman navigating the challenges of breastfeeding without the support I truly needed. I hold a Bachelor’s degree, am a Certified Nurse Assistant, and a Certified Lactation Consultant but more than anything, I’m a mother who once felt unheard and unseen during a deeply vulnerable time.
I created this nonprofit to change that experience for other women of color.
Too often, we face not only a lack of breastfeeding support, but also systemic biases that create real barriers to care. These gaps in our healthcare system can mean missed opportunities for healthy, empowered beginnings for both moms and their babies.
At The Sweetest Suckle, we believe every mother deserves compassionate, culturally competent care and a supportive community that understands her journey. Our mission is to empower women of color with the tools, education, and advocacy they need to thrive in motherhood and beyond.
Whether you’re here seeking support, looking to collaborate, or simply want to learn more, we're so glad you found us. We’re honored to walk alongside you.
With love and purpose,
Britney
