1. Mission & Purpose
The Sweetest Suckle is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting breastfeeding and lactation support among women of color through culturally responsive, accessible, and community-rooted care. We provide services to reduce health disparities and support the well-being of families of color.
2. Scope of Services
We provide educational and support services, including but not limited to:
Lactation consultation (in-person/virtual)
Prenatal and postpartum breastfeeding education
Peer-led support groups
Resource referrals
Medical Disclaimer: Our services are non-clinical and do not constitute medical care or diagnosis. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider for medical concerns.
3. Eligibility
Our services prioritize:
Women and birthing people of color
Individuals and families experiencing income-based or systemic barriers to care
We welcome clients regardless of race, gender identity, ability, or immigration status, within our mission scope.
4. Sliding Scale & Payment Policy
We offer a sliding scale to support income equity. Payment is based on household size and self-reported income. Payment plans and packages are available. By selecting a tier, you agree to pay the associated rate honestly and in full.
5. Scheduling, Cancellations & No-Shows
Please cancel/reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance
No-shows or late cancellations may incur a $10 fee unless under hardship
Repeated missed appointments may affect access to future scheduling
6. Privacy & Confidentiality
Your privacy is important to us. We protect all client data under applicable privacy laws and only share information with third parties when:
Required by law
Needed to coordinate care with your consent
Necessary to protect the safety of the client or others
Group sessions require mutual respect and privacy among all participants.
7. Limitation of Use
You may not:
Use our services or website for unlawful purposes
Distribute, copy, or commercialize our content or materials without permission
Misrepresent your identity, income, or intent when accessing free/reduced services
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone violating these terms or our community standards.
8. Intellectual Property
All content provided by The Sweetest Suckle, including logos, educational materials, blog posts, handouts, graphics, and videos, is the property of the organization or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may:
Use materials for personal, non-commercial use
Share publicly available content with proper attribution
You may not:
Reproduce, modify, or sell any content without prior written consent
9. Limitation of Liability
The Sweetest Suckle and its affiliates, volunteers, contractors, or advisors are not liable for:
Any damages (direct, indirect, incidental) from the use of our services or website
Medical issues or outcomes related to lactation or infant care decisions made without a licensed medical provider
Delays or disruptions due to technical issues, force majeure, or staffing limitations
Use of our services is at your own discretion and risk.
10. Accuracy of Materials
We make every effort to ensure our resources and educational content are accurate and up-to-date. However:
Information may become outdated or incomplete
We do not guarantee all materials are free from errors
Clients are responsible for consulting medical professionals when appropriate

12. Right to Terminate or Refuse Service
We reserve the right to:
Terminate or suspend services or access to materials at our discretion
Refuse future services to any client who violates these Terms, engages in harassment, or misuses services
Termination may occur without prior notice under serious circumstances.
13. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that portion will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of the Terms will remain in full force and effect.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
